Trevose Head lighthouse was first lit on 1 December 1847 to guide ships past the treacherous Doom Bar. Its 1911 foghorn, designed by Lord Rayleigh, was a trumpet thirty-six feet long, and on a foggy night the whole headland must have sounded as though it was clearing its throat. An original illustration, available in colour or black and white, created for the Ella's Adventures travel poster series. You will also find it in the North Cornwall Heritage Colouring Book, with the full story of the place beside the drawing.
No frame included.
Please note that, to protect the original artwork from copyright infringement, the images shown on this website are low resolution. The poster you receive is printed in high resolution, with all the detail and clarity of the original.
