Each poster comes with a letter home and Ella writes about the place, its hidden history, and the detail that never makes it into the guide books.

Jørn Utzon designed this building and then never saw it finished. He resigned in February 1966 after years of disputes over cost and control, and flew out of Australia that April, boarding his plane minutes before the doors closed. The Opera House opened in 1973 without him. He was awarded the Pritzker Prize for it in 2003 and still never came back to see it in person, not even once, before he died in 2008.
