Each poster comes with a letter home. Ella writes about the place, its hidden history, and the detail that never makes it into the guidebooks.
Antoni Gaudí took over this basilica in 1883, aged just thirty, and gave the rest of his life to it. When he was killed by a tram in 1926, mistaken for a beggar because of his shabby clothes and left waiting while no cab would take him to hospital, the towers he had imagined were barely a quarter built. It took another hundred years, but in June 2026, on the centenary of his death, the Tower of Jesus Christ was finally completed, making the Sagrada Família the tallest church in the world.
This poster is an original illustration in watercolour and ink, painted by Ella for the Ella's Adventures travel poster series.
