Every postcard tells a story, and this one belongs to Criccieth Castle. It sits high on a headland with the sea on three sides and two beaches curving away beneath it, looking out over Cardigan Bay towards the hills beyond.

It was begun by Llywelyn the Great, the Welsh prince, and later taken and rebuilt by the English crown, and it has spent the centuries since with the patient air of a building that has seen most things come and go.

Each postcard is printed from an original watercolour and ink illustration, ready to send to someone you love or to keep as a small piece of the coast. Turn it over and there is room for a few words of your own, the way the best postcards have always worked: a picture on one side, a story on the other.

Part of the Postcards Home series; a growing collection of original illustrated postcards, each rooted in a real place and a real moment in history. Printed in full colour on 300gsm silk card, with a classic postcard reverse printed in black, ready to write and send.
