Every year on the first of May, Padstow stops. The Obby Oss takes to the streets, the town fills with ribbon, music and song, and one of England's oldest May Day traditions plays out in a harbour town that has been doing this, in some form, for centuries.
This is not a standard poster. It is an A5 concertina letter: eight pages of original watercolour and ink illustration that fold out to tell the full story of Padstow and the Obby Oss, from the harbour to the teaser, from the Blue Oss to the Red. Ella walks you through it all in her own voice, with the kind of detail that does not make it onto the information boards.
