On the 6th May 1889, the Eiffel Tower opened its doors to the public for the very first time, and Paris had spent two years trying to prevent it being built. A beautiful, standalone piece of history, and a gift with a date that means something.

Ella arrives at the foot of the Iron Lady on the anniversary of the day it opened, and writes about the engineers who almost did not get to finish it, the writers who signed a petition against it, and the city that eventually, grudgingly, fell in love with it anyway. Part of the Letters Home series.

Size: A4 (210mm x 297mm). Printed double-sided on 100gsm heavyweight white paper. Sent flat in a brown cardboard envelope.
